After Aston Martin took over Lagonda they used the Lagonda badge on their 4-door saloons through 4 generations. Only the third generation was actually produced in any numbers. The Lagonda Rapid was a series of 55 cars made by Carrozzeria Touring; the second generation Aston Marton Lagonda amounted to just 7 cars and one prototype; the third generation was 636 cars in 2 series and the fourth generation amounted to 7 saloons. The Aston Martin Rapide was introduced in 2010 after a concept was presented in 2006. The last AM Rapides were made in 2020 after plans for an all-electric Rapide were abandoned. Aston Martin have announced plans to relaunch Lagonda as an all-electric brand in the 2022
