Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R, 1973. The KPGC110 series GT-R was powered by a 160hp 2.0 litre DOHC S20 straight 6 engine that traced its roots back to the Prince R380 sports car. However the second generation Skyline GT-R arrived at the same time as the 1970s fuel crisis and Nissan’s withdrawal from motor racing. With reduced demand and no marketing only 197 were made. There wouldn’t be another GT-R Skyline until the BNR32 series in 1989.
